Senior Database Administrator
"PASHA Bank" OJSC is seeking for Senior Database Administrator
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform Database Administration for Bank’s systems (up-and-running, performance, business continuity, data security)
To recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications;
To maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products;
To pay maximum attention on timings and team work for project based assignments
Advise Management on Long-Term Capacity Plans and Growth
Continually Review Processes for Improvement
Ensure Database Setup Meets Industry standards
Work Closely with Development Teams with Regards to Database Updates and Design
SKILLS:
Bachelor of Science in an IT related field or equivalent business and technical experience.
3 or more years of experience with: Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL, Backup and Recovery, and Performance Tuning.
System / Database Monitoring.
Database Security Administration.
Strong Experience with RAC Administration, ASM, Active Data Guard, Advanced Queuing, RMAN.
Oracle Database version 11g and 12c.
Expert SQL and instance tuning for medium to large databases.
Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting and PL/SQL skills.
Long-term capacity and growth planning skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, and in groups to achieve project objectives/deliverables.
Self-motivated
Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive
