OJSC International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) is seeking Data quality & Metadata lead for Information Technology Department.

Responsibilities:

• Define standards for Data Quality, Data Controls, metrics, etc.
• Monitor and report on data quality across the organization, particularly for designated Critical Data Elements, maintain repository of issues for monitoring and tracking data quality issues
• Create and update enterprise Data Quality dashboard on a regular (monthly) basis to identify gaps/issues
• Participate in data quality issue root cause analysis and assist in designing action plans for remediating gaps
• Coordinate and manage all data quality related projects across the organization
• Assist in creating data policies and procedures related with data quality
• Provide leadership for Data Quality working groups, specifically focusing on creating remediation plans, setting the agenda and preparing relevant materials
• Provide guidelines and support in identifying critical data elements (CDEs)
• Establish, monitor and enforce business processes and standards for metadata management and compliance
• Provide template for structuring business metadata (e.g., business definitions, security/access levels, data quality rules) and technical metadata (e.g., technical/physical data elements, data lineage)
• Approve changes to metadata and manage new demand for metadata
• Approve business definitions and data lineage developed by domain owners
• Develop and manage an enterprise-wide data dictionary

Technical Requirements:

• Strong leadership experience in an enterprise or cross-functional role
• Strong interpersonal communication and persuasion skills
• Very strong familiarity with metadata issues and processes
• Experience in system data mapping and tracing
• Experience defining, implementing and managing data glossaries/dictionaries
• Experience in performance management metrics
• Familiarity with data quality issues and processes

Required experience:

• 7 + years of experience in IT, with banking knowledge
• 5+ years in management/executive role
