Tax accountant
“PASHA Bank” seeks an experienced senior tax accountant to fill in a position
 within the financial management function of the Bank. The incumbent will assume
 an intellectually challenging and tax optimization role with a team of 
 professionals working on financial control engagements of PASHA Bank.

Calculation of tax liabilities of the Bank, review of tax accruals as directed by and 
   reviewed by managers;

   Maintain and prepare the main tax reports of the Bank;

   Analyzing the tax treatment of complex agreements such as derivatives and maintains 
   the transactions that have special tax treatment;

   Review corporate actions for tax consequences;

   Evaluate and forecast monthly. quarterly and annual estimated tax payments;

   Examine and analyze the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure that all 
   transactions have the proper documentation to meet all compliance requirements;

   Manage tax audits, assessments and requests for information as necessary;

   Liaison/meeting with the tax authorities and external tax advisors;

   Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for all tax related matters;

   Identify potential tax planning and savings strategies;

   Execute other tax related projects as necessary.

Требования к кандидату: 

This is essentially a tax expenses management and reporting role and an ideal candidate 
  should have a completed coursework in accounting, finance and taxation and have 
  adequate work-experience with a bank or a company in Azerbaijan or abroad.   

   At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or tax accounting) or the related field 
   from a renowned university;

   Good knowledge of financial accounting, financial statement analysis;

   Excellent knowledge of Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and best practice in 
   international taxation

   At least five years of continuous professional experience in a commercial bank, any 
   professional consulting firm (preferably) or companies in tax function and especially 
   VAT accounting and reporting process knowledge;

   Excellent oral and written communication skills in Azerbaijani and English in report
   writing and delivering oral presentations.

   Ability to work under high pressure and meet tight deadlines.
