“FINCA Azerbaijan” is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER for its Information Technologies Department. “FINCA Azerbaijan” is a rapidly-growing microfinance institution, now providing loans to more than 140,000 clients across Azerbaijan.
REPORTS TO: Information Technologies Department Manager.
BASIC FUNCTION
The Project Manager will be responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closing of IT projects for “FINCA Azerbaijan”. The position will serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.

- Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods;
- Lead the development of business and technical requirements for specific IT projects;
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Finance.
- Strong knowledge in Project Management - principles, methods and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of MS project;
- Project management certification is desirable.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure: servers, storages, networking is an advantage;
- Knowledge of ITIL is a plus.
- MBA is a plus.
- Fluency in English, Russian and Azeri is required, both written and verbal.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Able to clearly communicate complex project related information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
