The vision for FINCA Bank Georgia, JSC is to continue to be the leading provider of microfinance services throughout Georgia - including credit, savings, remittances, and other services, with a strong focus on the core clientele of low-income people, largely in rural areas, while operating on commercial principles of performance and sustainability.
The Bank’s mission is to provide financial services to the low income entrepreneurs and individuals of the country so they could create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living.
FINCA Bank Georgia JSC will leverage JSC MFO FINCA Georgia’s existing brand and customer base, and will further drive innovation and outreach (including small savings accounts and other services) to populations not currently served by commercial banks.
FINCA Bank Georgia, JSC, will further enhance the social purpose upon which JSC MFO FINCA Georgia was established. The mission and focus on outreach to low-income clients will not change.
As of the end of 2012, over 87% of the customers are from outside of the capital city. By vast majority, those are clients from rural and remote areas of the country, with limited exposure to financial services, in general. FINCA Bank’s strategic objectives will be:
- Retain leading market position in the microfinance segment through sustained expansion within Georgia and strong financial performance.
- Maintain focus on core clientele & social performance, while diversifying business and increasing efficiency and competitiveness.
- Pioneer innovative savings and credit products.
- Ensure a country-wide outreach network, reaching even the most remote villages.
FINCA Georgia has been one of the pioneers in the field of Georgian microfinance since its inception, which goes back almost 15 years, focusing on the creation of credit culture in remote areas in Georgia. Moving forward, an additional emphasis will be placed on creating a savings culture in those remote areas, to ensure financial inclusion not just via credit services, but also for savings products as well.
JSC MFO FINCA GEORGIA achieved strong growth for the period of last three years. Currently FINCA Georgia serves more than 45 000 clients through 36 branches located in almost all regions of the country.
