Effective 01 October 2020 AMFA started the implementation of European Union (EU) funded “Supporting women’s entrepreneurship during COVID – 19” project in İsmayillli region of Azerbaijan.  The project will be implemented in partnership with İsmayilli Child and Family Support Center.

The objective of the project is to minimize the economic damage, support rural women (including women with disabilities) in obtaining income during COVID – 19 crises and begin looking towards a post coronavirus phase.

The project will help at least 40 women from rural communities, including women with disabilities, improve their business proficiency, financial literacy, access to financial resources and organizational skills. Selected women will further receive seed funding to establish own businesses.

The project action will also serve decreasing the potential negative effects of COVID-19 on SDG 1 - no poverty, SDG 2 - zero hunger, SDG 3 - good health and well-being, SDG 4 – quality education, SDG 5 - gender equality and SDG 8- decent work and economic growth.
