Kapital Bank, the country's first bank, is taking a proactive new step in the fight against cyber fraud. The bank has introduced a crucial new feature to its Birbank mobile app, empowering customers to instantly verify whether a call is truly from the bank.
How does it work? If you get a call from someone claiming to be a Kapital Bank or Birbank employee – whether they're offering a new product, warning you about an issue with your card, or claiming there's a fraudulent transaction on your account – you can now follow these simple steps:
Stay Alert! It's vital to remain cautious. No legitimate bank employee will ever contact you from a foreign number or a social media account. They will never ask for your card’s expiration date, the 3-digit CVV code on the back, or the 4-digit security code (OTP) sent to your phone. If you suspect something is wrong, report it immediately to your bank’s hotline. By reporting suspicious calls, messages, or social media accounts, you are protecting not only yourself but also helping to stop cybercriminals from targeting others.
Kapital Bank, the country's first bank, is part of PASHA Holding. Kapital Bank has the largest service network in Azerbaijan with 121 branches and 52 departments all over the country.
