Commercial Credit Risk Underwriter

Job description:

• Financial Statement Analysis - past financial performance review

• Cash Flow Analysis and borrower’s financials projection for loan repayment

• Sensitivity analysis of borrower financials using macroeconomic and industry datas

• Microenvironment of company   - industry/competitor analysis

• Develop/Challenge financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis

• Financial modeling for Project appraisal (NPV, IRR)

• Rating credit risk of company. Using credit rating models and other expert systems to assign ratings and support internal analysis

Responsibilities:

• Assess creditworthiness of existing or new borrowers
• Examine historical financial data and credit history case by case (loan applications, BS&IS&CF statements, legal documents etc.)
• Ensure credit facilities have been properly structured, pricing and collateral is adequate & there is not any violation of internal or external regulations/policies
• Carefully summarize borrower’s data and produce clear and objective risk opinion

Similar proficiencies: Financial analyst, financial accountant, Credit analyst, external auditor, investment analyst

Preferable candidates are with:

Corporate finance and/or financial accounting background
CFA, CİMA, CPA, ACCA, DipIFR(eng) certifications and levels
Big 10 audit work practice
IFRS 9 credit loss (impairment) modeling knowledge
